Hi,

I have problem with my server. Server display not coming and I removed Ambient Temporature Sensor Cable and Repluged. Server Started but not going to Boot. And Then I restarted, No Display issue came again.

Please help me to find and solve this issue.

What does the temp sensor have to do with it ?

Do you have the iLO ?

Can you give more details like if the server is booting etc ? What OSe ? 

What happened before ? 

Call HP support ?

NO.

No Its not booting. Windows server 2008.

What happened before ?

Environment Power failiure.

Call HP support ?

I have called them, They not try to understand my issue and solutions. Before That, They Sent the service quotation for $152.25 (Only Engineer Visit).

I would note from the service document you reference that the ambient sensor cable was changed, not simply unplugged and plugged back in. If indeed a defective cable causes the error, then simply unplugging it is just replicating that error. I would order a replacement ambient sensor/cable as the first step in solving this problem.

Do you still have the tag hanging from the server or laying around somewhere for the iLO login info?

If you do, you could plug in a network cable and log into iLO and check out the error messages.

I agree with The Repairatrooper, it sounds like a defective cable.

Have you physically unplugged it for at least 5 minutes, then tried again – any beeps or error lights inside?

This thread amuses me, just 2  days ago my HP ml330 G6 started doing the same thing.. flashing red light up front, power light stays orange and will not attempt to turn on until I unplug the power/plug it back in. Carry on, I won’t thread-jack.
